We are thrilled to announce our first roaster comparison set! This is an idea I've had for a while and I'm super excited to hare it with you! Whenever possible, I love to compare the same green roasted by different roasters. It's really the best way to see how different roast profiles/machines highlight different flavors. But typically, you don't get to compare them all side by side at the same (or similar) roast date. So I had the idea to buy some green, split it with some roasters I was a fan of, and build a set out of it.

Pepe reached out and told me he had some green he'd love to connect me with for a collab, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. We choose his first tyoxy mejorado of the year and a lot separation from Putushio that he told me was looking spectacular.

The 4x roasters from this set will be: H & S, Thankfully (EL roast), Dongze, and Hydrangea. I chose these roasters because I really enjoy their style of roasting and find all of them pretty distinct, which is great for a set like this. Both H & S and Dongze will be roasting on a Roest L200u, Hydrangea roasts on a Loring ad Thankfully uses some interesting smaller roaster that I can't remember the name of haha (but I don't think any other roasters I drink use it). Hydrangea & Thankfully regularly roast Pepe, but this will be the first time H & S or Dongze have released a coffee from him.

Each set includes 8x coffees: 1x putushio & 1x tyoxy from each roaster. We have them available in sets of 25g (200g total), 50g (400g total) and 100 (800g total).

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

When will my weekly release order ship?

Shipping timelines vary by roaster and international transit. We send weekly email updates so you always know where your coffee is in the process. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
