Onibus is a well established roaster based in Japan - I don’t have a lot of experience with them, but I’ve heard very good things about them!

Roast Profile: Japanese Light. Roasted for sweetness, but not roasty with lower EY brews.

Why did we bring this coffee on?

This is our Soil Project Lot which we work with smallholder farmers in Rwanda to improve soil quality by making organic compost made from coffee pulp and other byproducts. Starting with the foundation of cultivation of soil, we are working to create a better environment for both coffee and the land itself. You can enjoy a gentle acidity and sweetness reminiscent of mandarin oranges, followed by elegant notes of apricot tea and cocoa.

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
