Kopirelo - Kendal 'Natural Hydro Honey' Liberica - Indonesia - 100g

Kopirelo is a really unique roaster. They bring on hyper limited competition lots from Indonesia and roast them very well. 

Roast Profile: Nordic ish. Kind of an "omni" roast, but it works really well for the green. 

Why did we bring this coffee on?

Libericas are weird, but always interesting! We secured a small amount of this one. The rest is being sent to Oma since they swap coffee with Kopirelo often! We've tried MY grown Liberica and found it... unique. This one seems perhaps a bit more promising. Interested to try it! Liberica is a different species than the 'typical' robusta or Arabica. These are pretty rare to find. Similar to robusta, they can have a lot of earthy/rubber notes to them, but also the sort of intense artificial sweetness that eugenoids have. The cherries have had a 96hr yeast bath before being pulped and dried as a honey lot.

A Quick Note on Tariffs:

After some trial run, we are fairly confident that we can find ways to mitigate the price increase from tariffs. We will factor some into the cost, and will cover a portion, but this will be lower than what had been factored into past releases. We're hopeful, but not too hopeful, that tariffs on coffee will be repealed in the near future., but for now it still represents a small increase in cost (usually $1 or 2 per bag depending on lots of variables).
