Bio: Exposure Therapy is one of our favorite roasters in the world. They have a very unique presentation of flavors to their coffees, and I have really enjoyed every one we've had from them. We are currently the only way to buy their coffee in the US and are thrilled to be offering it!

Roast Profile: Ultralight. They roast on a Giesen, which is one of my favorite roasters, but is rare to find UL roasts on it. XLIII also roasts on this machine, but with a very different approach. I find these coffees to be some what similar to Shoebox's presentation, but with it's own unique spin. I also find his roasts highlight floral/herbal notes in a very distinct way.

Rest Recommendation: 8-10 Weeks

Why Did We Bring This Coffee On?

Super excited for this coffee from ET! When we were planning our roaster comparison set with Pepe, he was adamant that we get some coffee to Ethan, who he had been trying to collab with for a while. Ethan just so happened to be visiting America soon, so I reached out and asked if he wanted to do a pick up of some green. He was interested, so we bought the green and set it aside for him. This is a really fun collab, that is sort of like the final piece of our roaster comparison set.

I’ll be fully honest, I hadn’t enjoyed a lot of the geshas I’ve had from Pepe, so I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one, but this year’s harvest of his geisha has been really exceptional. Much better than the previous iterations I’ve tried. It’s a bit warshed, with a lychee forward profile, but also a bouquet of florals and still pretty clean. Maybe a 0.5/5 funk. Great coffee that I am so excited to try from Ethan!

ONLY 23 bags!!

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

When will my weekly release order ship?

Shipping timelines vary by roaster and international transit. We send weekly email updates so you always know where your coffee is in the process. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
