Exposure Therapy is one of our favorite roasters in the world. We have been wowed by just about every coffee we've had from him. Very excited for this new release of his. Ethan has said that these new coffees are some of his best, so don't miss out on this one!

Roast Profile: Ultralight. One of the lightest roasters we've worked with. He roasts on a Giesen and has a very unique presentation of flavor. One interesting thing to note is how well his coffee improves with rest. I find that his coffees show all the notes you'll get at around a month, but really improve intensity and clarity of those notes as it ages. Very fun to try over a long period of time!

Why did we bring this coffee on?

We are thrilled to try ET's roast of this green. This is going to be a brilliant Kenyan coffee

Thimu Factory is one of twelve wet mills operated by the Baragwi Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga, Central Kenya. Situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the cooperative includes around 3,000 smallholders who deliver their cherries to the Thimu wet mill.

The factory is located at an altitude of 1,600–1,800 meters above sea level. The main coffee varieties grown are SL34 (90%), with smaller amounts of SL28, K7, and Ruiru 11.

Tasting notes: Chamomile, cranberry, osmanthus

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

When will my weekly release order ship?

Shipping timelines vary by roaster and international transit. We send weekly email updates so you always know where your coffee is in the process. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
