Coffee with Dongze is a newer ultralight micro roaster. Steven is friends with Bill from Hydrangea and they tend to share some lots. His coffees sell out very quickly, so we are very excited to do a release of his coffee. If you haven't tried his coffee, don't miss out on this one!

Roast Profile: ultralight. Very similar to Substance, but with a bit more sweetness. He was heavily inspired by Substance.

Why did we bring this coffee on?

Esmeralda is one of my favorite Panama producers, and their coffee this year has been exceptional. This lot was purchased directly from HLE. I've loved all the coffees I've had from their El Velo farm. Esmeralda geshas are one of the most "classic" representation of Panama Gesha.

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
