Big Sur is one of my personal favorite roasters I've worked with. They're based out of Shanghai and are a really great ultralight roaster. I loved all the coffees I had from my previous order, and they were one of the best regarded roasters I've released.

Roast Profile: ultralight. They roast on a Loring and have a really unique profile for Loring roasts. Their coffees tend to be very fruit forward and are less delicate than some UL roasters I've brought on.

Why did we bring this coffee on?

While the farm name is the same, this is not the Peruvian Miraflores farm! We had this coffee on our initial release of the UL sub, so if you missed that, this is your chance to try it out! This is the first PB, which is one of my favorite varietals, from Big Sur.

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
