Big Sur is one of my personal favorite roasters I've worked with. They're based out of Shanghai and are a really great ultralight roaster. I loved all the coffees I had from my previous order, and they were one of the best regarded roasters I've released.

Roast Profile: ultralight. They roast on a Loring and have a really unique profile for Loring roasts. Their coffees tend to be very fruit forward and are less delicate than some UL roasters I've brought on

Bis sur has some of the best Ethiopians I've ever had. Their Kenyans are also lovely. This set is a perfect way to try all of their available East african coffees and is a great intro to them, or a great sampling of their current coffees if you haven't tried them!

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

When will my weekly release order ship?

Shipping timelines vary by roaster and international transit. We send weekly email updates so you always know where your coffee is in the process. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
