Bio: Beanhop has been on my radar for a bit. They have a pretty great line up right now, and we are excited for all of these! Alo naturals are always killer and they have some great lots from them. We are very excited to try this Sophia Auction lot. Their coffees have been difficult to snag this year due to low harvests in Panama, so we jump on any chance to score a bag!

Roast Profile: Light! Not necessarily ultralight, but lighter than average - similar to Yelei’s profile.

Why did we bring this coffee on?

Anytime I work with a roaster in a producing region, I like to bring on a handful of coffees from domestic growers. This is a really interesting farm that I have been interested in trying with a unique variety, THA1, which is a catimor crossed with an Ethiopian landrace. This is a very clean washed coffee and is a good representation of well done cleaner coffees from Vietnam, which has been rapidly improving in quality over the past few years.

Tasting Notes: Lemon Tea, Citrus Candy, Sweet Herbs, Sugarcane

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

Do I need to subscribe to purchase the weekly release?

Nope! Weekly releases can be purchased as standalone coffees, no subscription required.

When will my weekly release order ship?

Shipping timelines vary by roaster and international transit. We send weekly email updates so you always know where your coffee is in the process. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
