Dropping a subscriber exclusive! This is an ultra limited release of a really interesting roaster from Malaysia: Aera. They are a very small operation than only roasts a handful of bags a month. Very similar to some of those super hard to access Chinese micro roasters like Yelei, He Dou, Coffee with Tskui, etc. But he operates as a roast to order, so he does individual drops kind of curated for specific people.

We're releasing 2x coffees: a honey 74158 from Chilaka which is his most popular coffee as well as a Washed Bolivian Gesha. We're always hyped to try lots from Alo, and haven't tried this honey lot before. And Bolivia is one of my favorite under represented coffee countries.

Roast Profile: No Crack. He was quick to say it wasn't ultralight, because he is trying to roast very light wile maintaining high solubility, but I know lots of UL roasters with high solubility (XLIII, ET, some Mood Trap, etc). So I'd say that even if it's not technically ultralight, this is a light that ul fans will enjoy it

What is a weekly release?

It’s a one off feature with a specific roaster. Weekly releases are separate from the subscription. This way you can try coffee from us without subscribing! We also offer some high end and ultra rare lots through this that we wouldn’t be able to feature on our subscriptions.

What does “presale” mean?

Our weekly releases are sold before the coffee arrives in the U.S. This allows us to source rare international roasters that don’t normally export here. They are roasted to order and we provide an ETA for each release through our newsletter.
